Saturday kicked off with a particularly challenging Bootcamp class, in which everyone pushed themselves to the limit on all three workouts! Congrats to Sharon, Chris and Seren on smashing WOD 1 outlasting the rest of the class on our Death by wall ball and sit ups workout. Then we had our usual anaerobic blast, with some sandbag bounds and carries, bear crawls and resistance sprints, followed by some pressing squatting and our Bootcamp favourite “The mountain climber” Amazing whole body workout, fat blast and muscle toner! Don’t forget this class is open to members and non members alike and is getting extremely popular! (Every Saturday 9-10am)
This was followed by another rammed Saturday morning Sweatfest, the second week in a row we have had to amend the workout because of the huge numbers attending! We kicked off with some Cleans and even though it was part of a complex, due to refined technique there were PR’s plenty today! PR’s in squat clean for Tracy 52.5 Lorna 42.5 Vix 62.5 also Jenny Bryn & Alex but not sure on weight… Maria also nailed the 60kg power clean easily and caught the following squat clean very well but just couldn’t get out of the bottom position even after a few valiant attempts! There were others too but they didn’t put score up…
Awesome work in a very tough WOD
Doffy, Drew and Christian lead the way on the WOD but was great to see everyone buying into the stimulus of maximal working effort then optimising recovery! Epitomised on the sprints by Jenny, Tracy, Katie Doff, Bryn and Christian in particular that smashed every one, with every last ounce of energy they had!
