Arguably the greatest Weightlifting Championship Final Ever from this Saturday
Ilya Ilyin (-105kg, Kazakhstan) clean and jerking a new world record 242kg/533.5lb. He made this in a do-or-die situation to win his fourth world championship (he also has two Olympic gold medals). He is still undefeated in about 10 years of international competition. And he made this after Ruslan Nurudinov and David Bedzhanyan both set new world records in the C&J just before him! This was the best session of weightlifting that I’ve seen in person.
